Dark Creatures

Lesson Four:
Jarvey:
M.O.M Classification: XXX
Jarveys can be found in Ireland, North America and Britain. They tend to eat gnomes, voles, moles and rats. The Jarvey prefers to live underground. Some could possibly mistake the Jarvey for an overgrown ferret until it speaks. It is unable to have a true conversation, but it will speak in short phrases in an almost constant stream, much like a three year old child on a sugar high. When speaking to a Jarvey, please realize that most of the time it's rude and not going to be your best buddy.
Lobalug:
M.O.M Classification: XXX
This creature lives at the bottom of the North Sea. Though it's not much to look at, it does have a defense mechanism. It has a rubbery spoiut and a vemon sac and is only ten inches long. As for the defense mechanism, the Lobalug contracts it's venom sac when threatened and blasts the attacker with poison. Wizards have been known to extract the poison and use it in potions. This is strictly controlled though. Merpeople also use the creature, but as a weapon.
Pogrebin:
M.O.M Classification:XXX
Native to Russia, this creature is considered a demon. It is barely a foot tall and somewhat resembles a shiny round rock when crouched. It has a hairy body and has a smooth, oversized grey head. These creatures enjoy tailing humans, staying in their shadow and crouching quickly should the human turn around. Their rock like resemblance helps with this. If the Pogrebin is allowed to tail a person for many hours, a sense of futility will overcome it's prey who will eventually fall into a state of lethargy and despair. Once the victim stops walking and sinks to their knees to weep, the Pogrebin will leap on them and attempt to devour them. It is easy to defeat or repulse a Pogrebin. Use of simply hexes or Stupefying Charms will do the trick. Also kicking or hitting with rocks have been effective.
Red Cap:
M.O.M Classification: XXX
In holes on old battlegrounds or wherever human blood has been spilled, Red Caps live. They are dwarf like creatures and mainly found in northern Europe. Red Caps are easily repelled by charms and hexes, but are dangerous to solitary Muggles. They are known to attempt to bludgeon Muggles to death on dark nights.
